Amazon Alexa
Amazon Alexa is a cloud-based voice service developed by Amazon, designed to interact with users through natural language processing and artificial intelligence. Initially launched with the Amazon Echo smart speaker, Alexa can perform a wide range of tasks including playing music, providing weather updates, setting alarms, controlling smart home devices, and answering questions. Alexa integrates with numerous third-party applications and services, allowing users to customize their experience and enhance the functionality of their smart home ecosystems. Its ability to understand and respond to voice commands makes Alexa a key player in the growing market of virtual assistants and smart technology.
OBJECTIVE
To introduce the localization of Alexa and to showcase her various abilities especially her ability to speak and understand Indian Languages.
THE IDEA
Having Alexa just talk to or interact with Indian influencers in local languages would be too plain and honestly, too easy.We decided to take it up a notch and have Alexa rap with one of India’s most coveted rappers – BrodhaV.We even had her deliver some lines in Hindi! It’s a BrodhaV song ft. Amazon Alexa!
We wrote Alexa’s Rap, Programmed her to deliver it on cue, shot & directed the video and had a blast while doing it.
THE IMPACT
The video garnered Over 800K views (and still counting) and was published in
various major publications including the Rolling Stones and The Mint. It was
even highlighted by the Global Amazon team and put out on all of the global
Amazon.com Socials.
