John Deere

John Deere is a globally recognized American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains, and lawn care equipment. John Deere is known for its iconic green and yellow machinery, which has become synonymous with high-quality and reliable equipment. The company is committed to innovation and sustainability, offering advanced technology solutions like precision agriculture tools to enhance productivity and efficiency. With a strong global presence and a reputation for durability and performance, John Deere remains a leading brand in the machinery industry.

OBJECTIVE

To showcase and promote LGBTQ inclusivity at the workplace and encourage recruitment for the community.

THE IDEA

The idea was to create a video where the top management and the key stakeholders, in their recruitment team, talk about the inclusive and transparent culture at John Deere and also have a visual depiction of representation and oneness of the LGBTQ community within their workforce. We decided to have a narrative where a mural that depicts the John Deere values, specifically relating to being an LGBTQ Ally, transforms into live action footage of actual people at the actual John Deere office. It would be creative, visually appealing, would get the point across and could be a very different touch to what could have been a possibly mundane video. We had our artists draw up a mural, digitally traced it, applied some basic animation to it and aligned the mural to seamlessly blend with the live action footage shot on location at the JD office. The narrative was crisp, the treatment effective and the point was put across.

THE IMPACT

The management, firstly, loved the video more than they were expecting to. The video is being used in all recruitment seminars and inductions and is soon to be released on all of their social media channels. Noteworthy – They are currently printing the mural to put up on one of the prominent walls at their main office!
